Pressure solar collector (solar water heater) – a device for hot water preparation with a pressurized water tank. On sunny days, the water can be heated to boiling point.


With electronic controller and 1500W electric heater


Heat-pipe technology. The operation of the device is based on the technology of vacuum flasks with heat-pipes.

Stainless steel product. The inner water tank is made of SUS304-2B food grade stainless steel, the outside of the unit and the frame are made of SUS201 stainless steel.

Volume. You can choose the size of the unit according to individual water consumption needs: 150 liters, 200 liters or 300 liters.

Convenient to use. Suitable for installation both on the ground and on a horizontal or sloping roof. The water pressure is the same as your tap pressure.

Management. The set includes an electronic controller and a 1500W electric heater for protection against water freezing.

Operating principle

☀️ The surface of vacuum glass flasks absorbs more than 93% of the energy in the sun. The solar energy is converted into heat and the heat is locked inside the vacuum glass flask with the help of a vacuum.

☀️ The energy trapped in the vacuum flasks is concentrated in the copper heat pipes inside the flasks. The liquid inside the copper heat-pipe heats up to 200 ° C and rises in the form of steam to the condenser head of the heat-pipe, which efficiently transfers heat to the water tank at the top of the unit through indirect contact (through a copper pocket). The cooled steam turns into a liquid and returns to the bottom of the heat pipe to start the cycle again. With enough sunlight, the water is heated to boiling point .

☀️ The water tank of the pressurized solar collector has good thermal insulation, so it can keep the accumulated heat for up to 72 hours . If it is cloudy and low in sun for some time, you can use the warm water reserve for several days in a row.

Connection to the water supply

The unit can only be operated in winter if the unit is supplied with an electronic controller with an integrated electric heater and the unit is permanently connected to the mains. When the water temperature drops to a critical level, the electric heater in the unit additionally heats the water and protects it from freezing. This is relevant when the outdoor temperature is extremely low for a longer period of time, it is cloudy or the vacuum flasks of the solar collector are snowy and do not receive direct sunlight. It is also very important to insulate the plumbing well.


Note
: If the collector does not come with an integrated electric heater or if there is no uninterruptible power supply, the system must be disconnected and drained during winter.
